What is a Rehabilitation Capacity Consultation?

A Rehabilitation Capacity Consultation is a detailed assessment of a patient’s condition, carried out by a team of experienced specialists. Its purpose is to determine the realistic possibilities for improving the patient’s health through intensive, multidisciplinary rehabilitation.

The consultation concludes with a comprehensive summary from all participating specialists and a final opinion. This includes an evaluation of the patient’s potential for improvement and recommendations for the most effective rehabilitation approaches to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Who is the Rehabilitation Capacity Consultation for?

The consultation at our rehabilitation centres is designed for:

  • Patients who need a comprehensive health assessment to determine the most effective rehabilitation strategy.
  • Families of patients who:
    • are searching for the right rehabilitation centre and need guidance in making an informed choice, especially if they are unfamiliar with available options or the specifics of different programmes;
    • are facing a difficult situation – e.g. when the patient’s condition is severe – and require a clear evaluation of the potential for improvement and the prognosis;
    • need reliable information and education about the rehabilitation process and the outcomes they can reasonably expect.
  • Individuals who have received an individually tailored rehabilitation proposal but are uncertain about its validity or effectiveness. The RCC provides a detailed, independent opinion to verify that the proposed plan offers the best possible solutions.
